Kaeleigh developed dissociative identity disorder what that is, is when somebody has two completely different personalities. The real side of her was sweet responsible and always did the right thing this side of her was also sexually abused by her father and she would cut herself. The other side of her was her twin Rennae she would do, drugs have sex you know all the bad things. In both personalities she was bulimic. In the book it states that the accident and her father abusing her possibly caused her to develop that disorder. Usually a childhood trauma, abuse or an accident causes someone to develop that disorder.

Bulimia is a food disorder that Kaeleigh had in the book bulimia is a eating disorder in which a person binges and purges. Meaning that they get rid of all the food they took in by vomiting, laxatives, fasting or excessive exercising. Kaeleigh would vomit her food. Usually girls are more likely to develop this disorder due to stress, depression, or constant thoughts of not wanting to gain weight. Kaeleigh would do it due to all those things.

Also self mutilation was another thing she would do OR also known as harming themselves to deal with tough situations either by cutting themselves, burning, punching, or maybe banging their head against something. It states in teen health that mainly teens are the ones who so self mutilation. They do it to release pain they hold with in. Kaeleigh would cut herself very often while she would shave whenever something would stress her.

I finished the book and the ending was amazing it turns out that the one of the twins died in a accident that happened years ago the father was driving and Rennae was the only one that died in the accident. Due to that accident, and her father sexually abusing her, Kaeleigh developed
dissociative personality disorder. She played the roles of both her and er sister. Information on the different types of disorders that she had like dissociative identity disorder, bulimia, and cutting herself will be posted on a different post.

For my psychological disorder project I'm reading the book Identical by Ellen Hopkins this book is about two twin girls that face life with a tough family their dad is a alcoholic judge and their mom is running for Congress and has isolated herself from the family. The parents once loved each other but after an accident they had they separated. Since then the dad sexually abuses one of the twins Kaeleigh. Both twins seem to have completely different personalities Kaeleigh is sweet and Innocent and Renae is more wild. Some of the different types of physiological disorder that i read in the book is eating disorders both girls are bulimic. I am not completely done with the book but I'm close to the end so if anybody read this same book for this project please don't ruin the ending for me.
